I enjoyed your review and as for the movie, I enjoy some of the world building and concepts of it, but the film is inconsistently paced, it gets a little too. . .conceptual and juggles too many plots and concepts at points, and all the slow-motion shots, CGI, and fight sequences have really not aged very well although I remember them looking amazing when it came out. Overall I would give it about a 3/5 myself, a clear step down from the original (as most sequels are) that I used to enjoy a lot more but on rewatching it a year or two ago it made me realize that parts of it have definitely aged rather poorly.

Back when this came out there was nothing between a PG movie and an R rated movie so a lot of stuff was PG. Jaws, Poltergeist and Temple of Doom are all rated PG.

If you liked the Shining you should give Dr. Sleep a watch. It's a modern sequel to the shining and it's actually really good/creepy.

You have to watch the “Animatrix” before watching matrix revolutions.

In my opinion, The Matrix 2-3 have too many boring scenes. There is overacting and unnecessary philosophizing. The action scenes are also too long, and there is too much repetition in the fight choreography. That's why I created a "Matrix ULTIMATE" version, where I combined the two parts but cut out all the unnecessary scenes, resulting in a single, dynamic three-hour movie. To conclude the story, I also used a few scenes from The Matrix 4. If you're interested in the full Matrix 2+3 ULTIMATE (2024) version, search for the 'Matrix 2 3 ULTIMATE end scene' clip among my videos, and you will find a GDRIVE link in the comments. I managed to cut out an hour of unnecessary scenes without harming the story. I put four months of work into this because I had to create perfect audio transitions in 160 places. (Sometimes I cut out just a single ridiculous word or sentence.) I've gone through many test viewings. Even those who hadn't seen Matrix 2 and 3 helped, and based on their suggestions, I reinserted a few weak scenes because the story demanded it. If someone made a 'first-watch' video of this, it would truly be a rarity because, besides my friends, no one has seen it yet. Most Matrix fans agree that the sequels got progressively weaker, and this combined version has become a highly RECOMMENDED film for the new generation as well. It's a sequel that you won't want to fast-forward through at any point. (And to reiterate, I used scenes from Matrix 4 for the story's ending, so we see Trinity and Neo 20 years older.)

That was a "smart" viewing. You almost seemed to anticipate everything before it happened.

I'm always upset when reactors cut their reaction to the whole 'humans are a plague' bit because that resonated with me wholeheartedly. I've never had kids and I won't because our current rate of procreation will no doubt destroy the planet. We need to curb the problem before machines actually end up doing it for us lol.

I really like your reaction to this Castiel-centric episode. You are very brave (or masochistic) to go back ten seconds to see that intense high-treason-being-discover moment again! The only downside was the number of inaproprietly placed adds in the video. (I don't mind adds so much, but I prefer them not in a middle of a sentence: the reaction lose fluidity when this happens)

So, remember a lot of the people in Zion were born natural outside of the Matrix. So they have no way of plugging in to go inside the Matrix, and if they don't read Matrix code then all they know about the Matrix is what people tell them. So what Neo's doing in the Matrix would not really have as much meaning for them as it would for someone who lived in the Matrix or at least can see understand what's happening by looking at the code.

Good episode and reaction but I'm gonna dock you 1,000 points for using that terrible live action Darkseid for the reference, Ironside or nothing!!

In my opinion, the second and third Matrix movies are, when put together, just one long movie(a singular sequel to the original), split in half. They were released just 6 months apart(may and november) and at the end of Reloaded they say "to be continued", leaving you on a cliffhanger.

The boys are a bunch of crybabies. Not able to swallow their ego for once and help a friend out even if he did a mistake. It always has to be about them and their feelings. I am with cas all the way

Castiel having an existential crisis in this part def makes me feel bad for him

honestly, if Cass just roped the boys into his plan from the jump, I think they'd be totally on board for it.. which also means that I think if the boys got over the betrayal and saw the bigger picture, they should get on board with it.

love this season and ep. I also love how Crowley is the only "villain' who refuses to underestimate our boys.

top 10, best episodes of the show, the writing is cheff kiss and the acting from misha is just amazing.

Interesting that the white rabbit reminds you of the Jefferson Airplane song White Rabbit from 1967 and not of Alice in Wonderland where the song and the whole idea of the White Rabbit came from ;) Though the song is still great :) btw When Cypher said "Buckle your seatbelt Dorothy, 'cause Kansas is going bye-bye!" it was a reference to the Wizard of Oz.

The coolest song in this movie playing during the freeway chase scene was done by Juno Reactor. He was also responsible for my favorite character theme from the 90s Mortal Kombat movie. Hopefully you react to it and you can pick up on the similarly to that song when you hear it.
